Last week myself and my partner rescued a cat from a shelter that was struggling to find a home due to a previous broken leg. We very quickly fell in love with him, however we noticed shortly after his arrival he had some breathing troubles, and wasnt using the leg as well as we thought. After taking him to see a vet, we discovered he has a long term lung problem which needs multiple tests and his leg had not been fixed properly after the inital break - leading to him needing an amputation.

We were not prepared to deal with a cat that had such extensive health issues, way more than we were expecting and are now unable to get insurance. We are absolutely heart broken as he’s such a lovely, sweet cat and want to give him the best chance in life! Any help would be hugely appreciated and greatly received.
