We are running the Shinfield 10k on 7th May 2018 as our original aim (the Reading half marathon) was cancelled due to snow all in aid of a local charity Remembering Reece. Reece was only 5 weeks away from his third birthday when he passed away from Leukaemia. The little superhero had endured high dose chemo, a relapse, more high dose chemo and radiotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant. Devestatingly he relapsed again shortly after the bone marrow transplant and there were no more treatment options available. His family are living in a nightmare, they do not want their son to be forgotten and are throwing themselves into fundraising to buy a holiday home to give children battling cancer in Reading and Oxford free holidays.
