Story
Myself Peter Barr and two of my colleagues Gordon Cowan and David MacPherson are retiring from work on the 30th of June this year and instead of donations going to a leaving gift we would like people who were going to contribute to donate to the local Cancer ward in Oban and also to testicular cancer awareness. The reason we have picked these two causes for our donations, is that we are all local to Oban/ Inverarary area and there is not many families that have not been affected by Cancer in one way or another. As three men, the testicular cancer is very prominent in all our minds and is also very close to our hearts as Davie's son has experienced the downside of this illness. We hope that contributing to this cause will in turn help raise awareness of testicular cancer.

On behalf of Gordon, Davie and myself we would like to thank everyone who has donated to our retirement collection. The page is now closed and when the funds are added to the collection taken at our retirement party which was £350 then we have a grand total of £1200. Once the deductions from Just Giving have been taken off we will then split it between the two charities. Thank you all once again for donating I can assure you we greatly appreciate it. Peter Barr

7 years agoOn behalf of Gordon,Davie and myself we would like to thank everyone who has donated thus far. I can assure you is greatly appreciated. At our retirement party a week last Friday we raised another £350 so the overall total is very good. Thank you all again from us all.
