Throughout 2017, my cousin Aman and I am aiming to raise £10,000, for an amazing charity, Mission for Vision which aims to build Mathematics Skills among blind children from financially challenged backgrounds. It has been observed that due to poor Maths teaching facilities for blind children, they tend to either opt out of the subject or learn a lower level of maths in school resulting in a disadvantage while competing for entrance exams and professional courses and thereby missing opportunities their sighted classmates access.

Mission for Vision, in partnership with National Association for the Blind has embarked on an initiative to strengthen Maths skills among blind children in order to enable a better opportunity for higher education and skilled employment. There are enough examples of visually impaired students who have gone on to become successful in professions such as the civil services, law, science, management and others with the right opportunities and training.

We hope to raise this money through various events I will hold throughout the year as well as donations from friends and family as birthday presents. Any donation of any size will contribute to this amazing cause and will help a child receive the education that we all take for granted.
