We will be going to Uganda, Kampala on a medical missions trip. Last year we worked in two major townships in Uganda. Bwebajja, and Bukasa, we saw over 400 patients within a 9 day period providing FREE medical care to all.

We dealt with conditions ranging from chest infection, hypertension, diabetes, skin conditions to infectious disease. We also delivered health education, and engaged the locals in HIV testing and blood donations.

We were so excited by the impact of the work we did last year. Last year we raised £1000, this year we are doubling our budget and are looking forward to reaching more people and building on the work in which we did last year.

The money we raised last year was used for medication which patients could then have for free in addition to basic equipment such as blood pressure machines, blood sugar testing kits and some additional reading glasses. The money this year will be used in the same way.

This year we will be travelling out with a team of 3 doctors and two nurses, as well as two other volunteers. This year we will be continuing the groundwork in Bukasa, and venturing into Mbale to do some good work there.
