Story
Last year, myself and a bunch of other nutters from Aardman and beyond, cycled from Land's End to Bristol in 4 days and raised a goodly amount of cash for Bristol Children's Hospital.
This year it's just me, my bike and the Welsh hills of my forefathers, as I peddle my way along the Lon Las Cymru cycle path from Chepstow all the way up to Llandudno (although technically speaking it carries on up to Holyhead but I don't want to go there!) My route will be 260 miles long and I'm hoping to do it in 4 days, starting on Sunday 28th October (when it'll be cold, windy, wet and dark!)
This is being totally supported and funded by myself but to ease the pain of a sore bum, freezing hands and feet and sweat running down my forehead, it'd be wonderful to know I was doing it for a worthy cause.
THE TALLINDING PROJECT started as an effort to help with the building of a Nursery School in the area known as Tallinding, which is a part of Serrekunda, the largest town in The Gambia, West Africa. It has been run by John and Christine Carter who live in Cam (near Dursley) for many years. They continue to help and support many children in that area who would otherwise not have access to education in any form.
This is such a great and inspiring story they have been part of, that I felt I would like to 'do my bit' as it were, in helping them in their fundraising. I hope you will help me by donating whatever you can, please! More information about the project can be found on this link http://www.tallindingproject.com
Thank you all, in anticipation!!

6 years agoSo I've finished my ride and what a journey it was! Who new Wales was so hilly and mountainous...? I was really lucky with the weather - clear and bright with lots of frost apart from the last day when it rained a little between Porthmadog and Caernarfon, although I had the wind behind me and it was downhill for about 12 miles so I didn't mind at all. I've been trying to update this page most days but have had wifi problem along the way, so apologies! However, I hope most of you have been following me on Facebook for pictures. Thank you all!

6 years agoDay two- half way there! Big climb up Gospel Pass above Llanthony Priory today, then followed the River Wye through some amazing scenery. Not as windy today but just as cold as yesterday. Upwards and onwards 😀🚲
