Story
I will be running the 2018 London Marathon to raise funds to support my daughter's local school, Kimpton Primary School to improve their educational resources. I also wish to raise funds for the British Legion's Poppy Appeal as sadly one of our local collecting tins in 2017 was stolen from the local church depriving the charity of much needed funds that support veterans of our armed forces.

6 years agoA big thank you to everyone for sponsoring me. After training in miserably cold weather, 24c and uninterrupted sunshine made for tough conditions and from mile 8 I knew I was in a bit of trouble and had to change my target accordingly. The new goal was to complete the race and to avoid getting ill. Happily I managed to maintain a pace of sorts and zone out for a good portion of the second half until the final few miles where it became inevitably harder, happy to finish in 3hrs 10mins, could have been a lot worse. Thanks again! .
