I'm going to be taking part in this years Great North Run to raise funds to provide new play equipment for children at the Jubilee Playing Fields in Thursby. The current play equipment is well past its best and needs upgrading to provide a safe and enjoyable space for children from Thursby and the surrounding area to play. We have already improved the other facilities on the site, and this will be the last piece of the jigsaw, to make sure we have a great community space that can be used by the village for years to come.
