Story
My partner Richard Murtagh a qualified Barrister tragically passed away unexpectedly on Easter Monday at the young age of 37. A genuine, hardworking, dedicated and a family man who loved both myself and his daughter Georgie who is 2 and a half. Richard suffered with bone cancer as a child and lost his right leg to the disease. This never stopped Richard who achieved both a Batchelor's and a Master's Degree in Law, before attending Bar School and achieving his dream of pupillage with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in Birmingham in November 2017. Richard loved and lived Law and really wanted to make it as a Crown Advocate which he would have certainly achieved in November this year. In remembrance of Richard both Richard's Family and Georgie & Myself would like to plant a tree in Birmingham City Centre close to his work at the CPS where he loved to be and spent most of his time and he deserves to be in a place where he was most happy.

I had a very brief conversation with Richard online just before I started my law degree, that was last November. I will always remember his kind words of advice. My thoughts are with you.
