    Story

    My Promise

To celebrate being free from lung cancer, I promised to ride 80 miles along the course of the Severn to raise funds to combat climate change https://www.shropshirestar.com/news/local-hubs/bridgnorth/2020/02/27/bridgnorth-man-pledges-to-cycle-length-of-river-severn-in-aid-of-flood-relief-one-week-after-being-cancer-free/ .

The April Lockdown prevented me attempting the full-ride from the slopes of Plynlimon to Bridgnorth,

    At Last....

This Friday and Saturday I aim to complete the trip from the banks of Plynlimon to Bridgnorth, following the course taken by the devestating floods earlier this year.

    Climate Change

50% of the funds raised will help set up a community-run low waste shop in Bridgnorth - Our Green Shop https: //www.facebook.com/ourgreenshopbridgnorth/

The other 50% will pay towards bio-flood defences in mid Wales to reduce potential flooding further down the Severn valley.

We raised £844 in the Spring. Please help us to raise a further £1,200 to help combat climate change.

After over 80 miles of cycling I finally made it from The Source of the Severn back to Bridgnorth. So far, the trip has raised a further £550 on top of the £820 raised in March and April. The funds will be split evenly between - planting bio-flood defences to reduce the risk of flooding along the course of the Severn, and helping to set up a low waste wholefood shop in Bridgnorth. Thank you so much to all those who have sponsored this cycle to support these causes. Thank you Kate, John and all the others who have help me achieve it.
