Hello, I am fundraising for the Royal Navy’s Hockey team. Having competed last year and wining the inter-service cup, this year the Royal Navy hockey association have decided to go away on tour to spread the goodwill and core values of Hockey and the Navy, whilst building and developing stronger overseas relations, boosting morale and to introduce more people to this great and inclusive sport. The chosen destination this year is the caribbean after being somewhere that we have helped rebuild over the last 12 months after the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina. We feel that this would be an exciting and beneficial morale building opportunity for the islanders, and us after a tough year at home and abroad whilst protecting the Uk and its overseas territories, enforcing law, assisting humanitarian relief efforts, and Counter terrorism is just a small part of our mission, all whilst under pressure with cutbacks from the government.
In the past we have raised all the funds ourselves through generous donations and this year is no different, our target is £3200 .We have a team of 32 serving members of the Royal Navy all from different branches that have already paid £1000 each out of their own pockets to go.
By sponsoring or donating however much you can afford would massively help us in our mission and goodwill tour to promote healthier lifestyles, along with our core values of: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship, all whilst forging new friendships through sport, and boosting our overseas relationships and morale.
I'd like to thank you in advance for your generosity it really is a massive help to us, please don't hesitate to contact me If you have any questions.
