    Story

Callum is a 5 year old boy. On his 5th birthday in March he fell off his scooter. He was taken to hospital with suspected concussion. He was sent home and days later was back in hospital having suffered a seizure.
Callum then stayed in Alder hey hospital for over 2 weeks. After several more fits and many tests he was discharged as epileptic.
Over the next month or so callum continued to have seizures and each time they lasted longer and longer. His epilepsy medicine didn't seem to be working.
He was rushed to hospital again on the 14th May after a prolonged seizure. Now on his second stay at Alder hey it has now been discovered that the seizures were actually strokes. These strokes have now caused significant amount of brain damage. The doctors can't find the cause of the strokes which are still happening. It is very rare for a child to have a stroke and even more rare to not be able to know the cause.

Callum and his family now have a long road to recovery as they search for the answers along the way.
As both his parents are self employed there is currently no money coming in to pay bills as they help fight with Callum in hospital. They have had to close their business and it will take a while for them to be financially stable again. The family is hoping to try and get some financial aid to help with the adaption to Callums home life. The family has been through the mill in the last 18 months. They are trying to relieve the stresses of daily life and support and fight with Callum so one day he may fully recover.

I know times are hard for many in the current climate. Any amounts will be greatly appreciated
Thank you for your time and keep us in your thoughts.
