Story
Hi everyone!
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Rob and I am currently in training to complete an 8 hour bike ride in my local gym in an effort to boost the fundraising efforts for a work colleague, James Mackey. James has had his life turned upside down, only in his 30's and with three children, he has been diagnosed with Sepsis and had to undergo a double leg amputation below the knee.
My family and friends have experienced the tragedy's of sudden deaths and illnesses many times over, more recently than ever. This has really helped to put things in perspective and remind us to cherish the people we are lucky to have in our lives.
With this in mind, I felt compelled to make the most of the fantastic network of people that I have some sort of connection with around the world. The hope is that by combining James' support with my own we can make a real difference to someone who has been dealt a truly devastating blow.
James' GoFundMe page has already received an amazing response and if you would like to read more about his story or would like to donate directly to his page, here's the link:

I will be completing the ride at Nuffield Health Gym on Roman Way, Rochester on Sunday 26th Feb which is around the time that James will hopefully be able to return home.
If you have any unanswered questions about what I am trying to achieve or why, please do not hesitate to contact me on: rmfb@live.co.uk
Thank you for taking the time to read this page and I hope that you can share the link on your social media to reach as many people as possible.
Any donation is truly appreciated no matter how big or small.
Kind Regards
Rob Meggs

Hoping to restore peoples faith in humanity and spread some good on the internet in a time where we are swamped with news of terrorist attacks, plane crashes and a whole manor of other awful things!
