Weʼve raised £2,390 to help support two vulnerable children with IT devices so that they are able to learn at home.

Story

We care deeply about our children's education and for some families, the current requirement of remote learning at home actually means not accessing the classroom, not seeing their friends and not seeing their teacher, as there are no suitable devices at home. For other families, there is just one device available at home and maybe this has to be shared between two, three or more children.

We know that we cannot help everyone in our school but, if we could just raise enough money to give two or our most vulnerable pupils a digital device we would be able to make contact with them on a daily basis; we could make sure that they are safe and of course that they are happy. For them, they would be able to see their teacher, see their friends and, of course, access the education they so badly deserve.

£900 would enable us to buy two digital devices and supply a form of access to the internet for two deserving children.

Thank you so much everybody! We have smashed our target and have also had some additional donations outside of JustGiving. I am delighted to tell you that we have been able to purchase Chromebooks to support 8 children in our school - this will mean so much to those families. We continue to try and fundraise, as we have identified nearly 30 children in our school who would benefit so keep sharing on social media. Thank you and kind regards, Robert Kett Primary School.
