On 0ctober 27th 2018 I will be running 10k to raise money for China meat dog rescues of Harbin SHS Animal Rescue

Across Asia, an estimated 30 million dogs a year are killed and eaten. They suffer on a daily basis - they endure deplorable conditions on dog meat factory farms, they are snatched from the streets – many of them stolen pets still wearing their collars – squeezed into cages so small they can hardly breathe, and transported for days before being cruelly beaten to death in front of each other. There is a belief that the more the animal suffers; the more adrenaline that will be released, and so the better the meat will taste. Hence, the methods used are particularly barbaric. Most people were made to think that the Yulin Festival on June 21st is the only time for dogs to be slaughtered but unfortunately it's happening every day.

In July 2016, three expat girls (whilst also working full-time), helped set up an animal rescue in Harbin, China, to help save dogs and cats from the trade, as well as those who have suffered abuse, abandonment and neglect. Over 320 animals have since been saved, such as Harry as shown in the photos below.

I have been following the work of these incredible girls every day. The abuse they see is beyond difficult to deal with, but they just keep going. It would mean so much to me if you could sponsor me; and help these girls in their fight. Any money raised will help to cover the ongoing cost of medical bills which they are in great need of; particularly with Yulin festival fast approaching.
