    Story

This is our friend Rochelle. She is (just) 30. In July 2020 she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer with metastasis (spread) to her lungs. In March we the #JogonCancer team will be running the David Goggins Challenge in order to:

    1. Raise some funds to support Rochelle on her journey back to health - giving her the opportunity to explore all avenues.

    2. Raise funds for research into Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer. mTNBC is “incurable” and has a horrific prognosis - killing an unspeakable amount of women (particularly young women that should be focusing on living and not dying). One way we can help eradicate this is via RESEARCH into more treatment options. Research needs all the funding it can get as there is a desperate need for more treatment options and more importantly - a cure.

The David Goggins Challenge is a gruelling endurance challenge that involves each participant running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. We will begin 4pm on Friday 19th March and the final run will be 48 hours later at midday on Sunday. In total we will each run 48 miles (just under 2 marathons) in 2 days!!

Some of the areas that funds will be used for to support Rochelle directly are as follows:

Access to the latest medical research / trials - Much of the latest and most cutting edge research and treatment is via private Doctors / hospitals and is not always covered by health insurances. Additionally this is not always available in the UK.

Alternative therapy and treatment exploration - The power of positive thinking and the use of positive energy and whole nutrition in overcoming cancer and other disease is well known (watch “Heal” on Netflix). The alternative therapies that support that process (e.g. Naturopathy / Reiki / Reflexology / Accupuncture / Meditation / Emotional Freedom Therapy and so on) are rarely covered by the NHS. This is something Rochelle feels strongly about exploring and sharing with as many people as she can.

The right nutrition and physical support is vital on the road back to health, and this includes the support of a nutritional therapist / Yoga & other exercise / Infrared saunas / physiotherapy / supplements & vitamins / infusions / herbs / antioxidants / juices etc.)

Thank you so much for your donation - little or large - It means a lot.
