Story
At Roecliffe, we want to provide the very best standard of education for our pupils, including quality pastoral care and support.
Our children and families may need support at different times, for different reasons... at times of change, through periods of stress and struggles, following a family crisis, when additional learning support is taking place, or just because sometimes life is so busy. We want to provide a space to provide whatever pastoral care is needed.
We also have some children and families bravely asking for help and support with family life, for a number of reasons, including support with a wide range of needs. I am sure there may be some children who, as yet, have not yet asked for help, but we are helping them to do so, and some children who we know will benefit immensely from a quiet space at some point each day.
The problem is that we have used every room in our beautiful Grade II listed building for dedicated teaching and learning spaces. So, we would like to build a simple, outdoor space which we can dedicate to providing emotional, well-being and mental health support to our pupils.
This will be at a cost of approximately £25,000.
We have a number of fundraising activities throughout the year, and a wealth of supportive families who are helping us to get there. We know it won't be easy, but we have set a target of £25,000, and we will get to work as soon as we have the funds to do so.
If you have any ideas for fundraising, please get in touch with us in school on 01423 322302, and speak with Mrs Dalton the Headteacher. All ideas warmly welcomed!
