Story
WAAKISA (Mercy) is a Northern Ireland based Charity working with young pregnant girls in Uganda. Unfortunately some girls get pregnant as a result of rape and can no longer live with their families. LIFT has been working with Waakisa for the past 10 years, building a pregnancy care centre which houses these girls during and after their pregnancy.
Most of the buildings are now complete , as part of my visit in 2017 we will be helping to build an additional education block and help with routine maintenance of the existing buildings.
