My sister, Ailsa, was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 and following chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy it appeared she had successfully beaten it. Unfortunately, in 2016 her breast cancer returned. Ailsa opted for a double mastectomy and a couple of months later began experiencing a numbing sensation on the side of her face. Following scans she was given the devastating news that she had an inoperable brain tumour and that the treatment available would hopefully give her ‘more time’, but no cure. Not accepting this, Ailsa supported by our sister, Morna and her husband, Alan, have searched and sought out alternative treatments. Ailsa is now adhering to a restrict diet, with numerous supplements, immunotherapy & hyperthermia treatment . As a family, we have continued to remain positive and worked towards helping Ailsa overcome this horrible disease.
