Washing for Wildlife! The Wildlife Centre I work and volunteer at rescues and rehabilitates Scottish Wildlife all year round. Staff and volunteers work tirelessly around the clock to help injured hedgehogs, birds and many other wildlife species. One of our washing machines (we use these for washing towels/sheets which are used daily in their 100s for animal bedding) broke down in Sep 2016, leaving us with just one working machine. Over Autumn and Winter this isn't too much of an issue since the numbers of wildlife significantly drop this time of year. However, soon our busiest time April - Oct will be upon us and we URGENTLY need a new washing machine to cope with the vast volumes of laundry we will be doing. Please donate generously so I can help my colleagues run the Centre more efficiently and provide a better standard of animal welfare for our wildlife too. We are also urgently needing some new brooders to help hand-rear the 100s of orphaned baby birds that arrive into our care this time of year! I will be chopping off my long hair and donating it to a children's charity for wigs too as part of this fundraising. Look out for pics! Thanks so much in advance!!
