    Story

We have both been connected with the Arunima Hospice in Kolkata for the past few years. The hospice supports approximately 47 children affected by and infected with HIV/AIDS. The children are orphaned as their parents have died from the same illness. Even more disturbing, many are abandoned by family due to the prejudice of their condition.

Ross visited the hospice in April 2017 and spent a week getting to know the kids and staff. To say this was a "life changing" experience is an understatement. Witnessing the extreme hardship these children face made us realise we CAN and WILL do more to help them.

We will return to Kolkata together in October 2017 and plan to fill four large suitcases with donations for the children. In addition, we hope to raise funds towards a new roof to the existing building at a cost of £3,800. This is a much needed improvement, especially during monsoon season.

The Arunima Hospice has a special place in our hearts. We would be truly grateful for any donation, no matter how small.

*Our visit to the hospice in Kolkata is 100% self-funded and all fundraising goes directly to the children's needs. There is NO high earning CEO or manager who takes a "share" of donations.

      Update from the Page owner

As our page has came to a close we just wanted to thank every single person who has given to this amazing group of children. This past few weeks I've been too ill to update FB but today I feel a lot more like myself and this amount has really made me smile! We are already halfway to raising the £4,000 required for the new roofing structure 😊

Ray & I have been in a loving relationship the past 14 years. A few years back we tried to sponsor a child abroad but were declined by several major charities due to our relationship. Fortunately, we then found the Arunima Hospice through our Church & love supporting these kids.
