As some of you may know, I am very passionate about the empowerment of young people and in addition to this women. I have been wanting to volunteer for a programme like this for a while now but have finally built up the courage to apply.

This particular programme is designed to engage with women in India aged 16-20 years old and help empower them to gain education with us. I will be part of a team that will support and provide the young women with language skills, computer skills as well as practical skills with getting a job.

Unfortunately, the costs of getting to India and volunteering for three hopefully four weeks is roughly around £2,000. I am hoping to go in January 2019 and will be doing all I can to raise half of this and need a little support to be able to raise the rest of the money.

I'd really appreciate any help I can get to be able to book my space with GVI for this programme.

IF I DO NOT RAISE THE NEEDED AMMOUNT OF MONEY AND AM UNABLE TO GO FOR THIS PROGRAMME I WILL USE THE MONEY TO GO FOR A SHORTER PERIOD OF TIME, FIND A CHEAPER CHARITABLE VOLUNTEERING PROGRAMME OR REFUND ALL MONEY.
