raised of £100,000 target by 12 supporters

Weʼre raising £100,000 to Help Rede De Sementes Do Cerrado (The Seed Network) To Continue The Worlds Largest Tropical Restoration Project In The Cerrado Brazil.

Don't have time to donate right now?

RPMM Global is responding to the climate change crisis with a call to action to raise £100,000 to support the work of Rede De Sementes Do Cerrado (RSC) in restoring the world’s most biodiverse savannah.

RPMM Global is planning to stage ‘RPMM Live: A festival musical experience; a planet-sized consciousness’ in 2022 to raise awareness of RSC’s work, and funds to support projects around the world fighting to protect our planet's fragile ecosystem.

The Cerrado is home to more than 1,600 species of mammals, birds and reptiles. There are also more than 10,000 species of plants, almost half of which the WWF say are not found anywhere else in the world.

The Cerrado’s preservation is key to curbing greenhouse gas emissions and for countering global warming, but it has seen 50% more deforestation than the Amazon since 2008.

This work requires funding, and this is the reason for our appeal. Your donations will ensure that the RSC can continue to carry out their vital work.

Rede De Sementes Do Cerrado (RSC)

The Cerrado Seed Network (RSC) was created in 2001 with the purpose of promoting the seed production chain in the Cerrado biome. Today, it is a reference in the area, actively promoting direct seeding as an economically and technically viable solution for the ecological restoration of the biome, thus contributing to public policy discussions in the area. It works effectively throughout the seed production chain, from training collectors to marketing.

In 20 years of experience, RSC has carried out 13 projects with the objective of restoration and conservation of the Cerrado, published more than 10 books on Cerrado species and techniques related to ecosystem restoration and several booklets and booklets, and trained more than 1,500 people to activities in the sector of production of native seeds and ecological restoration of the Cerrado biome. This experience and the entire network of partners ranging from academia, society and government, has been established for years and provides opportunities to improve the lives of the people of the Cerrado and social, environmental and economic benefits for society in general.

Since 2017, RSC, in partnership with the Cerrado de Pé Association, has been working directly with the commercialization of seeds in scale, having benefited more than 100 families of seed collectors in five different regions of the Cerrado with the transfer of more than 770 thousand reais , resulting in the conservation of over 930 hectares of seed collection areas and the restoration of over 630 hectares of Cerrado.

Their Mission is...

... The promotion of conservation of the socio-biodiversity of the Cerrado Biome, through the generation, exchange and dissemination of knowledge and the articulation of partnerships, connecting academia, society and government, contributing with practical and innovative solutions to the chain of inclusive ecological restoration , from the collection of seeds to public policies, generating value for the standing Cerrado, supporting restorers and environmental managers, providing opportunities to improve the lives of the people of the Cerrado and social, environmental and economic benefits for society in general

We hope you will join us in the fight against climate change.
