Story
Caroline Evans is one of the many AWESOME teaching assistants working at Rushall Primary School and this October 15th, she is going to be just a little bit more AWESOME than usual!
Caroline is running the Birmingham International Marathon!!!! Yes, that's right, she's running 26.2 miles!
"But why?" I hear you ask.....
A few years ago Caroline received a phonecall which no one ever wants to receive. Her husband had been taken to hospital after having a heart attack. Luckily he was in the presence of someone who knew how to administer CPR. If it hadn't been for that person's knowledge, medics confirmed that he wouldn't be here today!
Because of this personal experience, Caroline is helping to equip Rushall Primary School for such a medical emergency. She is hoping to raise £600 in order to purchase a defibrillator. This will be located in a place which is accessible to both school users and the staff and visitors at The Education Development Centre (EDC) next door.
