I am storming the castle in the 10K run in Carrickfergus on 26th August to raise funds for Northern Ireland Battery Hen Rescue (Nut House Hen Rescue and Re-homing). This charity provides specialist care and equipment for birds that have been removed from commercial settings. They provide broilers, roosters and laying hens with lives full of compassion. Saving one hen may not change the world, but it will change the world for that one hen. I want to raise support through funds and awareness as I believe we should use our intelligence and strength to provide animals with sympathy and provide them with lives free from pain or fear.
