    Story

A huge Thank You to everyone who has supported us and donated! We are happy to say that we completed the half marathon in around 2 hours- we had the best time and are extremely proud to have done it for Changes! For those of you still wanting to donate- it's not too late! We will be leaving the page open until the end of the week and are hoping to reach our £1000 target!!
Until then you will find us hobbling around with ice packs and pain relief at hand! We're already looking for our next run- we have 100% caught the running bug!!!!

Welcome to our just giving page! Laura and Kirsty are aiming to raise funds for a local Stoke on Trent based mental health and wellbeing charity "CHANGES"
On the 21st may 2017 we will be running the Chester half marathon. We have already raised £375 and are determined to reach out goal of £1000!
Here's a bit about why this means so much to us both.........

Laura- In November 2014 I lost my sister to suicide, after struggling with her own mental health from the loss of her boyfriend To turn my negative into a positive, I began volunteering at changes to help young people with mental health problems and to promote wellbeing. Im now employed by them and hope to continue supporting others in memory of my sister.

Kirsty- Changes is a charity extremely close to my heart. Not only does it provide support and hope to people suffering on a daily basis- it has given me more than I could ever explain. I have suffered with my own mental health for around 7 years, during this time I battled an eating disorder that I thought I would never recover from. My own battle has taught me just how much mental illness can take from a person as well as those around us. I wouldn't have come so far without the support and guidance from changes.

    Much love,
    Laura and Kirst xx
