My name is Russ Evans and I am a radio presenter/DJ at Ridge Radio who are a community radio station in Surrey. I am part of a team of volunteers who fund raise to help provide the station with funds to keep going so we can provide entertainment and support to our local Tandridge community plus our worldwide audience over the internet airwaves. The station provides a platform for all ages to present radio shows of mixed genres and give up and coming bands and solo artists a chance to shine and showcase their talents. With live guests and getting involved in the community Ridge Radio plays a big part in peoples lives. However this all comes at a cost and my fundraiser idea this year is to present a 13 hour show starting at 10pm on Saturday 26th August through to Sunday 27th August finishing at 11am. 13 hours of music and interaction from all corners of the World will provide a fun and entertaining live broadcast and provide our listeners and supports to pledge monies and help me reach my target. Well that's the plan and I am going to give it a go! Every little helps to go a very long way and over time equipment in the studios needs replacing to keep us on air and hopefully I can raise enough monies with this show which I am calling the "Early Breakfast Fundraiser Show" Thank you for your time to read this story and your support will be very much appreciated.
