I think all of us at some point recently or at some point in our life have been saddened and affected by the sudden suicide of someone we know, a family member, friend or friend of a friend etc. This year myself and good friends Jock McGuff and Craig Henderson plan to take part in the Broughty Ferry New Years Dook. Our aim is to raise awareness and some money for a great charity called Andys Man Club #ITSOKAYTOTALK.

In the UK, suicide is the number one killer of men under the age of 45, with 12 men taking their lives every day.The male suicide rate is currently three times higher than that of females and while that figure decreased slightly in 2014 - from 17.8 to 16.8 deaths per 100,000 population - it’s still very much a problem today. Andys Man Club is part of an ongoing drive to help lower this figure and give men who have been through a storm or currently in a bad place the opportunity to join a group and believe thats its okay to talk 👌. Andys Man Club recently opened its first local group in Perth. I would like to ask all my friends and friends of friends to give anything they can for this very worth while charity #ITSOKAYTOTALK
