A few days ago my sister experienced a stillbirth at 35 weeks.

This was a sad and harrowing experience for her and my family.

We were looked after by a team of specialised bereavement midwives/nursing staff during her stay on the labour ward at Calderdale Royal hospital.

She was nursed in a bereavement room which is currently in need of a total refurbishment.

6 months ago the infection control team took away alot of furniture and accessories which weren't compliant with their policies.

This room is designed for bereaved parents and their families and as such is in need of donations to help with buying equipment like a reclining chair and a sofa bed and wall lights which are compliant with infection control policies.

The difference this room makes to bereaved parents is immense and I would love for other families to benefit from the support and comfort we as a family got from the team.

Currently the room lacks a warm and homely touch.

I hope to raise enough money to buy at least a sofabed.

Please help me to raise at least £1000 .
