    Story

Rebecca is a talented artist, a personal friend who has supported me and many others through tough times. I want to give something back to this amazing woman but cannot afford to do this alone!

Rebecca was unable to tolerate straightforward chemotherapy and following a severe decline we travelled to a clinic in Germany where she underwent 4 treatments of hyperthermia/chemotherapy – the treatment induces a fever (our body’s natural way of fighting infection) while chemotherapy is delivered. This procedure is recognised in the UK but not administered. Rebecca has seen an incredible improvement. She can now walk and breathe without difficulty and her cancers have shrunk significantly. She needs two more treatments and cannot afford them.

Rebecca is a particularly special woman. She is a gifted artist, an amazing Mother and Grandmother and someone who has constantly given back to the community throughout her life, including as a gifted watercolour teacher, a friend/mentor for many young people, especially artists, and as Churchwarden of her local church. Rebecca and her family have had a tough few years, losing her Father, her husband Kevin to MND and her brother to cancer just as Rebecca was diagnosed. Her family deserves our support to hold onto this key person in their lives.

The money will be spent on two treatments at Dr. Herzog’s clinic, each of which costs £5,000. The combination of hyperthermia with chemotherapy helps the treatment to work better, smaller doses of chemotherapy are needed, thus reducing side effects. The clinic also use complementary treatments, including vitamin, mineral and immune infusions, detoxification treatments and magnetic field therapy. Reflexology/physiotherapy are given; blood counts monitored daily and adjustments made accordingly..
We have been astonished by the incredible difference that the treatment has made, please help us to help Rebecca. We look forward to sharing her recovery with you!

A very big thank you to all of you for supporting my Crowdfunding. It has meant the world to Rebecca to know so many people are thinking of her and showing such great depth of compassion and empathy. I saw Rebecca at the weekend and we went for an hour walking across fields and it was amazing as the last time we were walking together I had to push her in a wheelchair. Thank you!!! ❤️

Rebecca is now in Germany having her treatment and she sent me this photograph - Rebecca doesn't enjoy 'selfies' but she wanted everyone to see how well she is doing. This photograph was taken today whilst she was receiving a Vitamin C infusion. Its wonderful to see the improvement in Rebecca. There is only £300 to go to reach the target so please share! With love from Rebecca and myself. XX

Rebecca's words: It's so good to be back in the studio again! On the left and centre, spangles of light on shallow waves play out the notation of sacred music. On the right, the birth moons and shared constellation of two very dear friends.
