Muhammad Ali Imam from Levenshulme, Manchester sadly passed away at St Anne's Hospice on the 18th of September after bravely battling metastatic cancer. He left behind his wife and two young boys. He was buried at Southern Cemetery on the 19th of September.

The funeral was kindly facilitated by MMBT - Manchester Muslims Burial Trust, a not for profit registered charity set up solely to assist needy families.

This appeal is to raise what funds I can with your kind generosity to assist Ali's wife in the interim of obtaining welfare benefits without the added stress of being unable to pay her bills, etc. All the money raised will be given to Ali's wife. I was hoping to make a quick one week appeal however I cannot officially close the page until 14 days have passed. Therefore I will close the appeal on the of 5th of October In Sha Allaah.

Please donate what you can, most of us have children ourselves, some of us have lost our parents when young, and the welfare state of today is certainly not as giving as it once was.

Please remember Ali and his family in your Du'a, and also those around the world who have lost their loved ones. May Allaah Subhaanahu wa ta'ala bestow his infinate mercy upon them and grant them forgiveness. May Allaah Subhaanahu wa ta'ala grant them peace in Barzakh and grant them Jannat al-Firdous on the Day of Qiyamaah. Aaameen.

"They will ask thee as to what they should spend on others. Say: “Whatever of your wealth you spend, shall (first) be for your parents, and for the near of kin, and the orphans, and the needy, and the wayfarer; and whatever good you do, verily, God has full knowledge thereof.”

Adi ibn Hatim reported: The Prophet, Peace and Blessings of Allaah be Upon Him, said, “Guard yourself from the Hellfire even with half of a date in charity. If he cannot find it, then with a kind word.”
