We are a small cat rescue in Warrington,Cheshire which is totally voluntary and self funded,we have a facebook page S.A.F.E cats.
We trap feral,stray cats/kittens which the adults are neutered,flea/wormed and vet treated then returned if safe otherwise a safe home is found on farms,stables,even an open prison.The kittens are socialised and then found forever homes.
The people involved are voluntary at the pens,trapping,stalls at carnivals and fostering and do not begrudge a moment of their time to help the cats and kittens.
We fundraise during the warmer months and at Christmas by have stalls at fetes/carnivals for tombola,cat,dog,boy,girl lucky dips and bottle bag (you win whatever drink is in the bag).
We need to raise more funds to cover the cost of the extra pens,heaters etc.But if the amount raised was more than necessary we would use it on the vetinary bills (donations just for vetinary bills can be specified ).
Yesterday we picked up six kittens,when we got home we then went to an industrial estate and trapped another kitten as it had been hanging around a Mc Donalds but there was always a large gang hanging around and we were told it was not safe,tomorrow we pick up asister and brother 6 years old as their owner is moving south and had put them on facebook for free.
We are just trying to do our bit to help these cats and by neutering we are reducing future numbers SO IF YOU CAN --EVEN A SMALL AMOUNT WILL HELP TOWARDS OUR AIM OF MORE PENS AND MAYBE SOME VETINARY TREATMENT.
