On Saturday 26th August I will be taking part in the Pat Smullen Charity Race in aid of Cancer Trials Ireland at The Curragh Racecourse.

As most of you know, this racing business is all quite new to me & rather out of my comfort zone so there will definitely be sweaty palms on the day!

It is a PRIVILEGE to be afforded the opportunity to take part as one of the 15 riders and do my bit to help raise money for such an important & worthwhile cause.

Sadly, I don‘t think there are many families that haven‘t been effected in some way by the dreaded “C” and my family is no exception. Some managed to beat it, but some unfortunately did not.

As a mother it especially breaks my heart when I hear of young children going through it.

My Grandpa John, Mother in Law Patricia, Uncle Brian, Uncle Rupert & some young boys taken FAR too soon will be riding with me!

Cancer doesn’t discriminate, it just destroys lives & families! Any donation would be so hugely appreciated.
