Ray Salter sadly passed away on Thursday 12th July 2018 after a short stay at Southmead hospital.

Brenda, his loving wife has been left facing the costs of a funeral for her husband. She has worked throughout her life until Ray had a stroke 20+ years ago after having heart surgery. Brenda cared for Ray as it affected his mobility & speech.

Brenda is an inspiration to others, even though she had her own mobility problems always put him first. She has always been there for her children too, Kev, Deb and Rich, her grandchildren: Ross, Jake, Tash, Connor, Braydon, Kara, Nik, Jacob and Sam and her great grandchildren. Brenda has also been a tower of strength to others like me that aren’t directly blood related. She has treated me as one of the family and following my son’s death by suicide, she has been like a Mum to me.

So the Salter family are asking that instead of sending flowers and other things to Brenda and the family please can you donate that money to this fund raising page? We want to raise enough to help towards Ray’s funeral and if any extra is left over make a special memorial for Brenda to be able to remember Ray.

Ray loved Rugby & played 7 seasons from 54-62 playing 112 games.
