Former players and volunteers past and present of Non-league side Litherland Remyca are looking to raise funds for the community run family club who have been thrown out of the FA Cup over an unpaid £10 fine.

The Merseyside community run club which is now in its 50th year of non league football, unwittingly fielded a suspended player in the 4-2 win over Charnock Richard in the extra-preliminary round on 11 August.

The player's one-match ban for not paying an 'administrative' fine at his previous club which has since folded was carried over from last season. The Liverpool County FA did not notify the Remyca of this despite the player having been registered through the correct channels in order to play.

The Reymca have lost out on £2500 worth of prize money and for a club run by volunteers is a huge blow.

The FA have declined the Remyca`s appeal which the Remyca and the player in question are both bitterly disappointed in, therefore we are trying to raise funds to cover the losses that were earnt through the hard work and determination of this community run football club.
