"Gorghi" was unfortunate to be born in Romania where street dogs are treated as vermin and life expectancy is short.

How this little chap has survived to the age of approximately 8 years is nothing short of a miricle.

Gorghi who was likely thrown out/abandoned by his owners, was captured by dog catchers who brought him into Ps Dorohoi in Romania a shelter/hellhole where 100's of other dogs sit and await their fate.

A small but tenacious team of volunteers promote the dogs and try and rehome them around Europe. I myself have 3 wonderful Balkan beauties!

Please help me to help Gorghi get here before winter sets in.

As an older dog, Gorghi is very unlikely to survive the harsh winter which is why I decided to try to help find Gorghi his "people".

His forever family are in the form of a wonderful couple who have made a life long commitment to rehoming the "older", "disabled", "less likely to be adopted" dogs of this world. They have a wonderfully, large pack (around 15 dogs at any one time) and are thrilled to offer Gorghi a forever home.

Gorghi is a very gentle wee dog, who gets along with other dogs and people, although, understandably he's a little nervous. Approximately 8 years old, skinny and highly unlikely go survive Romania and its harsh winter, he has his one and only chance to find a warm bed with his forever family, instead of a small wooden pen in a much larger concrete kennel, covered in urine, blood and excrement, shared with bigger dogs, (often the older dogs don't survive the attacks of the younger fitter dogs or just freeze to death.)
