Story
I have challenged myself to walk ONE MILLION STEPS in FIVE WEEKS to raise money for Lucas Tibbs and his family.
Lucas Tibbs is a 13 year old boy the same age as my son Harry. They are both academy players at Walsall Football Club. Lucas a fit and healthy football player was recently diagnosed with Burkitt's lymphoma/leukaemia and is currently going through intensive chemotherapy at Birmingham children's hospital.I have only known the family for 18 months or so, but it hit me how life can take a dramatic turn so quicky. I cant imagine how life changing this has been for the family, John, Karen, Elliot and Lucas, and I felt compelled to help raise money to make their lives as normal as possible whilst he is going through his treatment at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
My challenge will end on Sunday 4th November... Lucas treatment will continue ...
Please help me to help them ..

6 years agoSo I finally finished at 2.30pm on Sunday 4th 2018. I have been and still am overwhelmed with people's generosity and words of support. I will admit I did get really emotional on Sunday night. There was never any doubt that I wouldn't finish. I have followed #TEAMTIBBS on Facebook and they have been my absolute driving force. I can't imagine how hard this must be for them but they are strong, determined and inspiring. Thank you so much for your support. I will keep this page live until Friday 9th. Lots of love Sam xxxxx

When you are faced with a life changing situation normality is put on hold. Mum of a 13 year old son myself I can't begin to imagine how you cope. The strength and determination that the Tibbs family have during Lucas gruelling treatment is the driving force behind my fundraising
