BIT LONG WINDED BUT HERE GOES .AN INSIGHT INTO
MYSELF AND HOW I GOT THIS OFFER OF A LIFE TIME .

MY NAME IS CAMERON AND 1 AM 14

I have a condition called ADHD (its classed as a disability but I dont like to see it as that .yes im different but slowly im learning its ok to be different 😊)
Im not looking for sympathy because i am me (and there are many of us with this condition )and all unique in our own way .
My life is a struggle everyday with the obstacles i face but with help and guidance from my mom and family i am getting there .
Im not very good at socialising and spend alot of time in my room (It's my safe place )so u will understand why this trip means so much to me .I've never really found anythg that interests me (tho ive tried )because i struggle to focus .
I joined the cubs when i was around 10 with encouragement for my mom.Not realising this would help me in so many ways .I then carried on to scouts,then explorers .
Now I am working on my young leaders badge where im helping others .
A few months ago a post came up to attend the 24th WORLD scouts jamboree which is held every 4 years and is held in different countries (this time it beginning in West Virginia .USA.
If I didnt make it this time i would never get the chance again and i would be out of the age bracket
So firstly I had to fill out an application form (BIT like a cv)explaining why I should be choosen.
The next step was a selection day where I had to do 8 activities and sit a 3 minute interview (Like big brother )
There were only 36 places for my district available with 100s applying .
The wait for the decision was nerve racking BUT I GOT CHOOSEN .🤗😁so now the hard work begins
I have to raise £4000 pounds
