I have been asked on behalf of The New Help the Homeless in Southampton team to set up a just giving page, to help a homeless family in this area start a new life. To let the children grow up as normal children, being able to be tucked up in bed every night, feeling safe and secure. Being able to attend school, learn, play and integrate with others. For the dad to be able to get a job and provide for his family. As this is what he wants. He wants to be the role model all fathers want to be. And for the mum to know that her family are all under one roof and she can love and nurture them like any of us mums take for granted. It is very difficult to do this, when you don't know where you will all be sleeping each night. We know that everyone are struggling this day and age, with no pay rises for years and zero hour contracts, so lots of us are having to pull in the reigns on our spending. But just 50p could help towards the pot, a pound would be great and anything more would be fantastic. Let's try and get this family homed before the cold Autumn nights kick in please. If between now and the page closes, they should get some help and accomadation. The money in the pot will go to purchasing home belongings, school uniforms and essentials.
