Brodie Love (15) & Nicole McCulloch (12) are truly honoured and privileged to have been selected for this year’s National Cheerleading Team to represent their country on the worlds stage! The International Cheer Union (ICU) is the recognised governing body for cheerleading throughout the world and are responsible for organising the World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida. This year’s world championships will take place between the 26th-28th April.

Brodie, Nicole and their teammates will take part in the Opening Ceremony and parade of nations, along with the 110 member nations of the ICU, and will compete in the Junior Advanced Division. This is the first time that the world championships will host a ‘Junior division’ (aged 12-16). Therefore these girls will be making history by being some of the world’s first athletes to compete in this division and be part of the first ever Junior Team Scotland to compete at this event.

The girls have been training towards this goal from a very young age! They currently train 5 days a week and are 100% committed and dedicated young athletes. Not only are they champions on the mat but they are very focused on academics. Their involvement in this sport has taught them discipline, sacrifice, reliability, teamwork, loyalty and leadership.
