This summer I have been given the opportunity through the Global Human Rights Brigade to shadow a Panamanian lawyer and volunteer at their pro-bono legal clinic.

Lawyer fees can be up to £100 and, access to layers may be limited. as the clinic is free, and situated 4 hours out of panama city center it is aimed towards those who may not be able to afford the cost, or the time away from work, of legal advice.
The clinic mainly deals with child custody or domestic abuse cases, but can cover many different human right issues.

As well as volunteering at the clinic I will also be conducting workshops covering basic legal concepts to try and empower the community through education.

What I am fundraising for covers the program fees. this includes:, accommodation, security, translators and transport for when I am in Panama.
Flights, vaccinations, visa's etc. I will be covering the expenses myself.
