In Memory of Sam West
Sam West sadly committed suicide at the age of 15. While we will never understand "why", we want to create a legacy that will promote awareness, diagnosis and treatment of mental health among teenagers in Kent, as well as support arts and music in schools.

We have now launched the Foundation website (www.samwestfoundation.org) which includes details on the first activities we will be supporting, as well as just a few of the events that people have organised to raise further funds. We thank you all once again.

6 years agoWe have been overwhelmed with all the generous support we have received, and would like to express our sincere thanks to you. We are pleased to inform you that the Charity Commission approved registration this week of THE SAM WEST FOUNDATION (#1177924). All the money you have kindly donated will go to this Foundation, and will be used in full for meeting its objectives. We are setting up a website for the charity, and will share details with you shortly. Once again, sincere thanks for all your messages of support, kindness and generosity.

Sam West was born on 15th February 2002. He was much-loved for his kindness, cheeky sense of humour and enormous talents in both the arts and music. He was diagnosed with clinical depression and very sadly took his own life in January 2018.
