Sam hopes for support to go on once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Hello there! My name is Sam Wilkins and I have been involved in Scouting in Leighton Buzzard since I was 6. I have recently been selected to go to the World Scout Jamboree in the USA during the summer of 2019. Being selected is only the beginning of my journey, to be able to join scouts from around the world I need to raise £4000. Whilst in the USA I will be learning about other cultures and religions, and mixing with Scouts from all over the world promoting peace, teamwork and understanding. On my return, I hope to visit schools and youth groups and share my experiences and inspire them to join the Scouting movement.

6 years agoSam has already hosted a Bingo Night at Stanbridge Lower School which raised over £700. He has also produced silicone wrist bands which are available to buy in shops in Leighton Buzzard. The next planned event is a quiz night at the 5 Bells of Stanbridge on Tuesday 20th March at 7.30pm - all welcome!
