My Friend Kirsty was Diagnosed in June 2015 at the age of 27 with Terminal Breast Cancer. She was 31 weeks pregnant with her second child and had to give birth by C section due to the cancer advancing to her bones and spine which had caused her vertebrae to break, she was lucky she was not paralyzed. She had Baby Kaci who was born 9 weeks early weighing in at just 4lb 7oz so she could have the lifesaving operation on her spine and start radiotherapy and Chemo.
She has had such a rough time going through treatment to prolong her life, losing her hair, bringing up a new born and looking after a toddler but luckily, she has amazing friends and family around to help.
She’s is going though Chemo treatment at the moment which is working and prolonging her life.
Her children mean the world to her and she is going through all of this just to be able to spend more time with her Babies. I think they deserve a Family holiday to make more memories before it’s too late. Kirsty is so strong, determined and a true inspiration to everyone who knows her.
My family, Friends and I are going to be doing a lot of fundraising over the next few months to help reach this target.
I have organised a Family fun day in my local area, my 7-year-old son is going to do a Virtual run and get sponsored and My friend Emma and I are going to run our very first Virtual Half Marathon at the end of July. We will do anything to help get this money to give these children an amazing holiday with their mum making happy memories as a family.
