Weʼve raised £545 to help my son get the best treatment for his type 1 diabetes by providing him with a dexcom G6 monitoring system that will last him a year

Story
I‘m trying to raise enough funds so that I can do my best to manage my son’s type 1 diabetes. A dexcom continuous monitor will prevent my son’s fingers from being covered in holes and bruises, and will massively help him manage his condition while he’s at high school. Lewis has ADHD on top of his type 1 diabetes which means he can be pretty rubbish with his time keeping when it comes to blood tests and insulin doses which is why a cgm would be so beneficial. As a single working parent I don‘t have the means to give him the best treatment available. Any amount, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.

Lewis was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2018. I spend all my time counting carbs and injecting insulin to keep Lewis alive. I have had to leave work to look after him which means I can't afford to give him the cgm he needs (he doesn't fit the criteria to get it on the nhs)
