Story
On Monday the 26th of September 2016 life changed for one of the loveliest families I know. Carl was enjoying a motorcycle track day with friends when an accident led to life changing spinal injuries. Carl will now have to adapt to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Thankfully has the loving support of his wife Zoe and their young daughter Jessica along with the rest of his close friends and family. Carl was in the middle of renovating the family home they had saved so hard to buy. It is now not suitable to be the family home they can all enjoy. I want to raise money for them so that they can afford the major building works to enable them to stay in their current home. It is not going to be useable for someone in a wheelchair. They will also need funding so that they can afford to buy specialist equipment or pay to do anything that will enable them to live life to the full. No amount of money can reverse what has happened but financial help can stop the constant worry about how they can afford everyday things on a drastically reduced income. They would all be so grateful if this worry was taken away and to be able to stay in their forever family home would be incredible. Please give anything you can. It really will make a massive difference to this family as they come to terms with their life as it is now. Thank you

8 years agoThank you so much to everyone who has donated and offered support. It really does mean so much to them. Carl is still in intensive care at St George's. When his blood pressure is stable he will be moved to a ward to start learning how to use a wheelchair. At present he is learning how to teach himself to cough, which is very scary if you cannot clear your own chest and throat. At some point he will be moved to a specialist rehab facility in North London. Please keep the messages of support coming and please keep sharing. Thank you
