On the 29th September 2019 i am running my first half marathon . This is the furthest i will have ever run and have only been running for 2years . It has been hard work at times with my asthma to contend with. However, in that time my wonderful mum had a stroke which has affected her in a lot of ways. She has worked incredibly hard to make as much progress as she can. I always try to remember this when i am finding my running ( or anything else in life) tough.

Therefore, when i mentioned to a few people that I was running a half marathon and they asked if i was getting sponsership, I had think about who i could raise money for. I eventually decided on iCare. It is the day centre that mum attends once a week. She has physio there and spends time with other stroke patients socialising. Mums time there is also important to dad as it gives him a little bit of respite time.

iCare rely quite a lot on donations so i would love to be able in some small way to say thank you for supporting my mum and dad
