In January, I'll be going to Durban in South Africa to volunteer at LIV Village for 6 months. LIV is all about restoration. They provide a safe environment where the children have a foster mother to love them, food to eat, and a school to educate them. There are over 5 million orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa alone; LIV hopes to have villages all across the country in the future.

As said by Tich Smith, the founder of LIV “The future plan is to see many villages across our nation, raising future leaders, and turning scars into stars by providing a fresh start in a supportive community. ”

I’m so incredibly excited to be spending 6 months volunteering for this organisation; it hasn’t fully sunk in yet! I have been trying to save (I was working two jobs up until recently) but as I am paying for the LIV program itself (£2000) plus the visa (+ the ghastly journey to the Edinburgh center)
, medical bills and flights I am yet to book...I realised I really should try to raise some funds to help me along.
