Story
While doing service (cleaning gutters, 2 stories up a ladder) Sarah Parsons fell, landing on her husband, John. Sarah sustained severe injuries, fracturing her spine and severing her spinal cord. She is now left permanently paralysed from the waist down.
John also fractured his back and will not be able to go back to work.
John is home and Sarah is now in a rehabilitation centre, and will be there for a few months.
Sarah's injuries are completely life changing. She, John and their family have a very long and difficult road ahead of them, with many expenses. Sarah will need a wheelchair and other disability equipment to help her with daily life. They will also need to get a disability vehicle and have to move home to accommodate life in a wheelchair (they currently live in a 4th floor flat with no lift access).
This page has been set up to help them raise funds for these costs and relieve some of the burden they face.
