We are a group of people fighting to keep new road common land open as the council are trying to claim the land for their own benefit. We are fundrasing to gather the funds to help pay for a solicitor who would help on the legal side of claiming back our land.

We would like to put the land back into a tidy carpark with a well needed toilet block for locals and visitors as well as displaying tourist information boards directing people to the towns historical features and shops.

This land has also been used by the fairground since the 13th century, which are also loosing their right to use this land with no other plot to set up on. Their is also a local church on the land which is regulary used by the old and disabled, since the closure they have had nowhere to park and the council have also had more parkng wardens on patrol booking these innocent people who are trying to attend their regular church service they have attented for years.
